Press Release: Max Burcham Joins Snyder Langston as Project Executive

Los Angeles, CA (September 8, 2017) – Snyder Langston, a Southern California-based master builder, has announced the addition of Max Burcham as Project Executive, reinforcing the firm’s Healthcare group and its Los Angeles market presence. Burcham brings three decades of industry experience to his role, with an especially strong background in healthcare construction.

Prior to joining Snyder Langston, Burcham was a Project Director for McCarthy Holdings. His extensive experience also includes preconstruction services, construction management, and master planning work. Max’s broad project background spans award-winning work on hospitals and central plants along with office buildings, resort hotels, mixed-use retail, cinemas, and parking structures.

“Max is a trusted leader with a proven track record of excellence and results. I am thrilled about the exceptional service he will bring to our clients, the spirit of mentorship he brings to our people, and the commitment to growth that he brings to our business overall. Max’s initial focus will be on our healthcare group leading current Los Angeles work, among other commercial projects,” said Lee Watkins, Vice President of Healthcare at Snyder Langston.

In addition to its work in Healthcare construction, the firm is building multiple projects in Los Angeles that span a wide variety of sectors. A few of these include Scorpion Internet Marketing Headquarters, Lankershim + Otsego Apartments, a Fitness Center for USC, Long Beach Exchange, and NBC Universal Sound Stage Complex, among others.

“Los Angeles makes up about 70% of our portfolio and we are committed to growing our presence in this region even more. As we do this, it is a priority for us to have the right leadership in place to take on new projects and support our existing client base. Max’s knowledge of this market, impressive experience, and dedication to upholding our values of integrity and client service make him an ideal fit for what clients expect of our brand,” said Watkins.

Max was first introduced to Snyder Langston in the mid-2000s when he was working on the Hoag Women’s Pavilion in Newport Beach. Stephen Jones, Chairman and CEO of Snyder Langston, was acting in the role of Hoag Facilities Committee Chair during the project’s construction.

“Steve was instrumental in assembling the highest performing team I have ever been a part of,” shared Burcham. “Many years later, I still remembered his strong leadership and was drawn to the firm. Interviewing with Snyder Langston made it clear how much the company values collaboration, which affects so many aspects of how they do business. This especially stands out in the way they structure field teams; the Director of Field Operations is a partner to the Project Executives and vice versa. This is not always the case with other GCs, where project teams can become divided between field and office. I am excited to be part of a group that is truly collaborative.”

Max will be working predominantly out of Snyder Langston’s El Segundo office. The firm has two additional locations – an office in Pasadena and headquarters in Irvine.

“We continue to grow and that is the result of dedicated people and meaningful client work. I look forward to Max’s influence in Los Angeles on our healthcare portfolio and beyond,” said Stephen Jones.
