SERVICE LINE: Snyder Langston

Snyder Langston provided pre-construction and general contracting services for the renovation of the halfcentury old Balboa Bay Club. The project involved two phases. Phase I was the demolition and construction of a new three-story, 50,000 s.f., members only clubhouse including spa rooms, a gym, a dinning room, basketball and racquetball courts, 28 private guest rooms and five-star finishes. Site work included a members only snack bar with a 25-yard swimming pool.

Phase II included the demolition of the former hotel and the construction of a new five-star, Italian Renaissance-themed hotel open to the public. The hotel features a 6,900 s.f. Grand Ballroom; 11 meeting rooms; athletic facilities; a pool; The First Cabin Restaurant with waterfront views; and Duke’s Place, a bar named for John Wayne. Site work included numerous decks and a 25-yard swimming pool and a new porte-cochere.
